How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    UK & European Sales Executive

    I am looking for an experienced, self-directed Sales Executive to help establish and grow a new SaaS solution within the promotional products industry across the UK and Europe

    This is a remote, hands-on new-business role. The successful candidate will be responsible for building their own sales pipeline, developing industry relationships and managing opportunities from initial contact through to subscription and onboarding

    We are interested in candidates who already work, or have previously worked, within the promotional products industry. Existing knowledge of distributors, suppliers, trade associations, industry events and the wider market will be highly valuable

    This is an early commercial appointment rather than a narrowly defined sales position. Alongside selling the platform, the Sales Executive will contribute to market development, trade-show activity, customer feedback and the development of a repeatable sales process

    Key Responsibilities

    Business Development

    Build and manage a pipeline of prospective customers across the UK and selected European markets
    Identify and approach promotional products distributors, suppliers and other relevant industry businesses
    Generate opportunities through telephone outreach, email, LinkedIn, networking, industry relationships, referrals, associations and trade events
    Follow up promptly and effectively on inbound enquiries and event leads
    Develop strong relationships with decision-makers across the promotional products industrySales Process

    Conduct structured discovery calls to understand prospects' commercial, customer and sustainability requirements
    Deliver clear, engaging and persuasive product demonstrations
    Demonstrate how the platform can help businesses respond to carbon-data requests, strengthen tenders and proposals, and communicate product information more consistently
    Manage opportunities through the complete sales cycle, from initial contact and demonstration through to proposal, negotiation, agreement and onboarding
    Sell monthly and annual subscriptions across a range of subscription plans
    Prioritise larger enterprise opportunities while acquiring smaller customers efficiently
    Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline stages, follow-up activities and sales forecasts
    Provide regular, concise reporting on sales activity, opportunities, risks and expected revenueTrade Shows & Industry Events

    Identify and evaluate relevant promotional products trade shows and industry events across the UK and Europe
    Support trade-show applications, bookings and communication with event organisers
    Help coordinate exhibition requirements, including deadlines, stand information, sales materials, demonstrations and lead-capture arrangements
    Work with the wider team to ensure events are properly planned and prepared
    Attend relevant UK and European trade shows, exhibitions and industry events
    Demonstrate the platform and engage in commercial conversations with visitors and prospects
    Review results following each event and make recommendations for improving future exhibitionsMarket Development

    Provide practical feedback on customer needs, objections, pricing and product positioning
    Help adapt sales messaging for different UK and European customer groups
    Monitor relevant industry developments and competitor activity
    Contribute to outreach campaigns, presentations, demonstrations, proposals and objection-handling materials.
    Help develop a repeatable and scalable sales process.
    Identify where language, market practices or local requirements may require additional support when entering European marketsAbout you:

    Strong knowledge of the promotional products industry, ideally gained through working with a distributor, supplier, service provider or industry organisation
    A proven track record of personally generating pipeline and winning new customers
    Confidence with outbound prospecting by telephone, email, LinkedIn, networking and industry events
    Strong consultative-selling and objection-handling skills
    The ability to build trusted relationships with business owners, sales leaders and operational teams
    Good commercial judgement and the ability to connect product features with tangible business value
    A disciplined approach to CRM management, follow-up and forecasting
    The initiative to identify what needs to be done and take ownership of delivering it
    Willingness and practical ability to travel regularly within the UK and EuropeThe following would be advantageous:

    An established network within the UK or European promotional products industry
    Experience working directly with promotional products distributors and suppliers
    Experience developing a new territory or introducing a new product or service to market
    Experience planning, setting up or representing a business at trade shows
    Experience converting exhibition leads into customers
    Knowledge of European promotional products markets
    Familiarity with sustainability, carbon reporting, environmental data or supply-chain information. This is desirable but not essentialLocation: Remote
    Territory: United Kingdom and selected European markets
    Travel: Regular attendance at UK and European trade shows, exhibitions and customer meetings will be required

    Basic salary: £35,000-£40,000 per year
    First-year new subscription revenue target: £60,000
    Commission: 10% of eligible first-year net subscription revenue
    Commission at target: £6,000
    First-year on-target earnings: £41,000-£47,000
    Accelerator: 15% commission on eligible revenue generated above the applicable annual target
