Maintenance Engineer

A growing food manufacturer is seeking a Maintenance Engineer working a 4 on 4 off days & nights,the role involves keeping production moving safely and efficiently, and build real career momentum with structured training and genuine progression potential. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will join a busy operation with a stable shift pattern, a supportive culture, and the chance to help improve efficiency, reduce waste, and protect product quality every day.

 Shift Pattern 4 on 4 off days & nights

Salary £40,000 to £48,000 plus Bonus, Overtime & Benefits.

What You Will Do:

- Carry out machinery fault-finding and troubleshooting, supporting smooth running during production

- Complete scheduled maintenance tasks to keep equipment performing at its best

- Analyse production data with key stakeholders and suggest evidence-based improvements

- Support training of staff on new equipment and processes

- Maintain clear, practical communication with opposite shifts and record work accurately using in-house systems

- Deliver work to high standards of health and safety, food safety and hygiene

What You Will Bring:

- Proven mechanical engineering experience, ideally within manufacturing or a similar production environment

- Strong hands-on knowledge of mechanical systems, machinery, engineering tools and production processes

- A detail-focused approach with the ability to explain the root cause of issues and drive solutions

- Confident communication skills, both verbal and written, tailored to different audiences

- Adaptability across different manufacturing systems, with electrical knowledge and forklift/IPAF licences as desirable extras
