How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Land & Sea Resources are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Technician to support maintenance operations at the Morecambe Hub in Barrow-in-Furness.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrical maintenance professional with a background in the oil and gas, petrochemical or similar process industry to join an operational team responsible for the safe, reliable and efficient performance of plant and equipment associated with gas production, processing and condensate storage.
The successful Electrical Technician will undertake routine and non-routine electrical maintenance and defect repair activities, ensuring plant and equipment remains safe, reliable and available for scheduled operations. The role may also involve supervising contractors and vendor personnel undertaking specific work activities, ensuring that work is completed safely and efficiently in accordance with company procedures.
Experience within a petrochemical, oil and gas production or maintenance environment is essential, together with a sound understanding of engineering principles and electrical maintenance practices. A BTEC Ordinary Certificate or equivalent qualification in an appropriate engineering discipline is required to provide the necessary underpinning knowledge.
Candidates who are qualified as HV, SAEP or REP are particularly desirable. Experience of working within process environments and a strong understanding of the hazards associated with operating and maintaining process plant will also be highly valued.
