How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Ensuring HR data is accurate and up to date.
Preparing HR documentation including contracts, letters and policy-related correspondence.
Producing HR reports and supporting people-related metrics.

Supporting managers with absence management, disciplinary, grievance, capability and conduct matters.
Supporting investigations, meetings and associated documentation.
Coaching managers on HR policies, procedures and best practice.
Managing and monitoring employee probation periods, ensuring reviews are completed on time.
Providing practical first-line HR advice and guidance to managers and employees.
Ensuring HR processes are compliant with UK employment legislation and company policies.
Maintaining confidentiality when dealing with sensitive employee information.
Supporting HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Contributing to the review and development of HR policies, procedures and processes.

    About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

Previous experience working as an HR Advisor within a manufacturing environment – essential.
Experience in a generalist HR role with strong knowledge across the employee lifecycle.
CIPD Level 3 or Level 5 qualification, or currently working towards one.
Strong HR administration experience and excellent attention to detail.
Good working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
Experience supporting first-line employee relations cases.
Confidence providing advice and coaching to managers.
    Experience using an HRIS.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
    Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
A professional, approachable and people-focused manner.
The ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
Strong judgement and discretion when handling confidential information.
The ability to build effective working relationships at all levels of an organisation.

    Why Join?

You’ll be joining a global manufacturing organisation operating within a specialist and innovative industry, with a strong focus on technology, sustainability and continuous improvement.

The business offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative HR environment where you can have real involvement in employee relations, manager support and wider HR projects.
