TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school in Thornbury, providing dedicated education and support for children and young people aged 2 to 19 with severe, profound and complex special educational needs. The school has a lovely, friendly and supportive team already in place, alongside specialist facilities including hydrotherapy, physiotherapy and art therapy to support pupils' individual development and well-being.
The school is looking for an enthusiastic LSA to provide classroom support, with flexible working opportunities available depending on how you prefer to work. The successful LSA will work closely with teaching and support staff to help pupils engage with learning, access classroom activities and receive individual support throughout the school day.
The successful LSA will have:
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
• Experience supporting pupils within a classroom or educational environment
• An understanding of severe, profound and complex special educational needs
• A patient, caring and supportive approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility and a willingness to support pupils according to their individual needs
