Shift Pattern: 4 Days On / 4 Days Off
Hours: 8:00am – 8:00pm | 12-hour shifts
Overtime: Paid at 1.5x
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Shift Engineer to join a leading facilities engineering team based in the Docklands, London.

The Role
As an Electrical Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance of electrical and building services systems across a high-profile commercial site.
Working as part of a dedicated engineering team, you will help ensure all critical electrical systems and associated building services remain safe, reliable and operational.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.

Diagnose and rectify electrical faults efficiently and safely.
*
Maintain electrical systems, plant and associated building services equipment.
*
Respond to breakdowns and technical issues across the site.
*
Complete maintenance records and relevant documentation.
*
Work safely and in accordance with company procedures and statutory requirements.
*
Support contractors and specialist engineers when required.
*
Participate in site inspections and ensure engineering standards are maintained.

£50,000 basic salary

About You
We are looking for an electrically qualified engineer with a strong maintenance background and experience working within a commercial, critical or high-specification building environment.
You should have:

A recognised Electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent).
*
Strong electrical maintenance and fault-finding experience.
*
Experience with planned and reactive maintenance.
*
Good knowledge of electrical building services systems.
*
A proactive approach to problem solving.
*
Strong communication and customer service skills.
*
The ability to work independently as well as part of a wider engineering team.
*
A commitment to health & safety and high engineering standards.
