How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    * Monitoring progress against programme and identifying potential delays or technical issues

    * Resolving engineering and construction queries with project and design teams

    * Carrying out site inspections and ensuring installations meet specification

    * Supporting RAMS, ITPs, permits and other project documentation

    * Coordinating materials, plant and equipment required for upcoming works

    * Supporting mechanical testing, commissioning and handover

    * Managing defects and ensuring remedial works are closed out

    * Maintaining accurate quality, progress and technical records

    What We're Looking For

You'll ideally have experience as a Mechanical Project Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Mechanical Site Engineer or similar within a construction or process environment.

You'll need a good understanding of mechanical installation and be comfortable working with equipment such as pumps, pipework, valves and associated mechanical/process systems.

Previous UK water or wastewater experience would be highly advantageous, particularly experience working on AMP programmes, but we're also interested in engineers from other transferable sectors such as utilities, energy, industrial/process, manufacturing or infrastructure.

Experience with commissioning, NEC contracts and multidisciplinary MEICA projects would also be beneficial.

An HNC/HND or degree in Mechanical Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline is preferred, alongside appropriate site qualifications.

If interested in the role, please apply online with an up to date CV and a member of the team will be in touch.
