At an exciting point in its development, the organisation is looking for a talented, relationship-focused Fundraising Officer to help grow the funding available to communities it serves.
The organisation is open to appointing someone on a permanent basis or initially for 6–12 months, depending on the successful candidate's experience and availability.
About the Role
Reporting to the Fundraising Director and working closely with colleagues across the organisation, the Fundraising Officer will play an important role in supporting ambitious income-generation and supporter-engagement plans.
This is a broad and varied position with exposure to corporate partnerships, individual giving, charitable trusts and public-sector relationships.
You will have the opportunity to build relationships with a wide range of supporters, work closely with experienced senior colleagues, and see first-hand the impact additional funding can have on local communities.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
* Act as a first point of contact for prospective and existing supporters.
* Help develop relationships with corporate partners, individuals, public-sector organisations and charitable trusts.
* Research prospective supporters and turn information into useful briefings and engagement opportunities.
* Support the development of compelling proposals, pitches and donor meetings.
* Help coordinate fundraising initiatives, sponsored activities and supporter events.
* Build strong relationships with corporate partners, including supporting volunteering and wider employee-engagement opportunities.
* Work with colleagues to produce donor communications, appeals and impact reports that clearly demonstrate the difference supporters make.
* Support the wider development and delivery of fundraising and income-generation activity.
