Our client is a long-established elite manufacturer of premium bathroom KBB products, supplying major residential, student, hotel and healthcare schemes across the UK. Bathroom pods and offsite construction have become one of their fastest growing markets, and they are backing it with serious investment.
At the heart of this role are the bathroom pod manufacturers.
* You will build trusted, long term partnerships with the leading pod and volumetric manufacturers nationally, making our client their supplier of choice, while also influencing the contractors and developers who specify their projects.
* You will not inherit a strong high-growth territory. You will build a market, win the pod partners that matter and see the results of your work on some of the largest projects in the country.
* You will manage relationships with contract merchants
* Winning and developing partnerships with the leading bathroom pod, volumetric and modular manufacturers, making our client their first choice
* Becoming the main point of contact for pod manufacturing partners, understanding their production schedules, processes and product needs
* Influencing main contractors, developers and contract merchants so products are specified into pods at the earliest stage of each project
* Connecting pod manufacturers, contractors and developers to create long term, repeat business rather than one off orders
* Opening new pod manufacturing accounts across the UK while growing existing relationships
* Working with internal specification, pricing and operations teams to deliver in line with factory production and protect margin
* Reporting to senior leadership on performance, pipeline and market opportunities

The Candidate for the Business Development (Bathroom Pods & Offsite)
* A proven record of selling into bathroom pod manufacturers, offsite, volumetric, modular or MMC construction
* Alternatively, strong experience selling bathroom or related building products into construction projects, with a genuine interest in offsite
* Credibility with senior stakeholders, from pod factory directors to contractor and developer decision makers
* A clear understanding of how specification turns into orders on large residential, student or build to rent schemes
* Commercial sharpness, resilience and the patience to manage longer project cycles
* Self motivation, strong organisation and a willingness to travel nationally
