How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Sales Manager UK & Europe

    Salary - DOE, £40,000-£55,000

    20% Sales Bonus

    We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Sales Manager - UK & Europe to develop and grow sales across an assigned territory

    The role will focus on generating new business, developing existing customer relationships, identifying market opportunities and delivering sustainable, profitable growth. The successful candidate will promote a comprehensive range of industrial equipment, associated products and services to customers across a variety of sectors

    Key Responsibilities

    Develop and implement a regional sales strategy and action plan to achieve agreed sales targets and budgets
    Generate new business through proactive prospecting, networking, cold calling and market development
    Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers
    Identify opportunities to increase revenue within existing accounts and develop new areas of business
    Research and identify new markets, customers, industries, partnerships, products and services
    Identify key decision-makers within target organisations and develop relationships with appropriate contacts
    Follow up on dormant accounts, existing quotations and new enquiries to maximise conversion opportunities
    Negotiate commercial agreements
    Prepare accurate technical and commercial quotations in response to qualified enquiries
    Monitor sales performance against budget and develop action plans where required
    Produce regular sales reports, including forecasts, customer visit reports, competitor information and pipeline updates
    Maintain accurate and timely records of customer activity, opportunities and sales progression within the CRM system
    Ensure successful orders are communicated promptly and accurately to the relevant internal departments for processing and delivery
    Work closely with sales, engineering, production, procurement, finance and other internal teams to ensure customers receive appropriate solutions
    Deliver product, technical, hydraulic and sales presentations or training to customers, distributors and other relevant stakeholders
    Support the development, training and motivation of existing customers and distributors
    Attend customer sites, exhibitions, conferences, trade shows and industry events across the UK and Europe
    Contribute to the wider sales and marketing strategy and provide market feedback to support business development
    Keep up to date with market trends, competitor activity and developments within relevant industriesThe successful candidate will be expected to develop opportunities across a broad range of sectors, which may include:

    Proven experience in face-to-face B2B sales, preferably within an industrial, equipment, rental, engineering or technical environment
    A demonstrable track record of generating profitable business and achieving sales targets
    Strong commercial and financial awareness, including experience with budgets, margins and commercial negotiation
    The ability to work independently and effectively manage a territory without close day-to-day supervision
    Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to plan daily and weekly customer activity
    A genuine ability to identify opportunities, develop leads and convert prospects into profitable business
    Strong customer service skills and a commitment to developing long-term commercial relationships
    A willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the UK and Europe, including overnight stays when requiredKey activities

    The role will require close collaboration with internal departments to ensure customer requirements are clearly understood and that the appropriate technical, commercial and operational solutions are delivered

    The successful candidate will also contribute to developing strong relationships with distributors, partners and other external stakeholders

    The role requires regular travel throughout the UK and Europe

    Visit existing and prospective customer sites
    Attend trade shows, exhibitions and conferences
    Conduct customer meetings and presentations
    Support distributor and partner activities
    Travel and stay away from home when required to support business development and customer requirementsSuccess in the role will be measured through
