How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Brand New Kitchen - Premium ingredients - Great Skills Development

Company Description Lilibet’s Mayfair is a classic seafood destination on Bruton Street, offering a storytelling-led dining experience that combines timeless British elegance with Mediterranean flavors. Situated in a historically significant building, once home to a revered young British princess and her family, the restaurant reimagines this heritage into an exquisite contemporary setting. The menu follows an imaginative “Grand Tour” of the Mediterranean, presenting both beloved classics and unexpected dishes designed to delight guests. Lilibet’s focuses on refined cuisine, polished service, and an immersive atmosphere that appeals to guests seeking a distinctive, high-end dining experience.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sous Chef/Junior Sous Chef role based in the London Area, United Kingdom. The role involves supporting the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, including preparing seafood-focused dishes, managing mise en place, and ensuring consistent quality and presentation in line with Lilibet’s culinary standards. The Sous Chef/Junior Sous Chef will supervise and motivate kitchen team members, assist with training, oversee food safety and hygiene practices, and help coordinate service during busy periods. Responsibilities also include contributing to menu development, monitoring stock and ordering, minimizing waste, and working closely with front-of-house colleagues to deliver a seamless guest experience.

    Qualifications

    • Strong experience in professional kitchens, ideally within premium or fine dining seafood restaurants.
    • Sound knowledge of classical cooking techniques, Mediterranean cuisine, and seafood preparation.
    • Ability to manage sections independently, support menu execution, and maintain high culinary standards during service.
    • Proficiency in kitchen organization, including stock control, prep planning, and efficient workflow management.
    • Commitment to food safety, hygiene regulations, and maintaining a clean, orderly kitchen environment.
    • Collaborative leadership skills, with the ability to coach and support junior team members and foster a respectful, inclusive culture.
    • Resilience under pressure, strong time management, and attention to detail for consistent dish quality and presentation.
    • Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required in a busy restaurant setting.
    • Relevant culinary training or qualification (e.g., diploma or certificate from a recognized culinary school) is beneficial.
    • Right to work in the United Kingdom and fluency in English for clear communication with team members and colleagues.
