Site Agent - Clean Water Projects

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Agent to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering clean water infrastructure projects across the Chester area for United Utilities.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and hands-on Site Agent with a background in water, utilities, civil engineering, or infrastructure projects to take ownership of schemes from planning through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day site operations on clean water projects.

Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Oversee project programmes and monitor progress against targets.

Manage client relationships and attend site meetings.

Ensure accurate record keeping, reporting, and documentation.

Support commercial teams with project costing and forecasting.

Drive productivity and maintain high standards across all site activities.

Requirements:

Previous experience working as a Site Agent within the water, utilities, or civil engineering sector.

Experience delivering clean water projects preferred.

Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and CDM regulations.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Ability to manage programmes, resources, and project delivery.

SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications.

HNC/HND or degree qualification in Civil Engineering (preferred).

Full UK driving licence.
