How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    What You Will Do

    You will play a key role in optimising the production capability of one of our clients manufacturing sites producing foam and gas suppression systems used worldwide. This is a hands-on manufacturing engineering role focused on improving efficiency, reducing cost and enhancing quality across production operations. You will work closely with production, engineering and supply chain teams in an office and site-based environment to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

    How You Will Do It

    * Plan, manage and review production plans to meet output, cost and quality objectives

    * Monitor expenditure and forecast resource and production capacity requirements

    * Optimise manufacturing layouts for assembly and materials handling

    * Design and improve manufacturing processes, equipment and machine utilisation

    * Plan and sequence manufacturing operations to improve flow and efficiency

    * Provide guidance and input into engineering design concepts for manufacturability

    * Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives using Six Sigma / DMAIC methodologies

    * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive quality, cost and productivity improvements

    What We Are Looking For

    Required:

    * HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

    * Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing or production engineering environment

    * Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies

    * Experience with CAD

    * Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels

    * Computer literate with a practical, data-driven mindset

    * Proactive, driven and confident with a strong work ethic

    * Working Hours: Monday to Thursday from 7:30am to 4:00pm and Friday from 7:30am to 1:30pm.
