As an RF Engineer, you'll contribute to development projects leveraging your RF electronics design skills. My client is a critical-communications technology company delivering TETRA and LTE solutions for mission-critical users across multiple sectors, based in Waterbeach, Cambridge.
Responsibilities
* Design and specify RF circuitry for radio terminal products
* Subsystem design, integration with baseband, audio, and MMI subsystems
* Component specification, evaluation, and sourcing
* Schematic design and supervision of PCB layout
* Design and develop RF systems at component level, with performance testing and optimisation
* Integration and prototyping across subsystems and wider system architecture
* Produce technical documentation, including design reports and test plans
Requirements
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field
* Extensive RF design experience, ideally in telecommunications or critical-communications
* Design-level experience in at least 3 of: RF Tx/Rx architectures, receivers/transmitters, power amplifiers, EMC/EMI, frequency generators, antenna design, matching networks, broadband comms, LTE/4G/5G
* Experience with RF simulation tools such as ADS or CST
* Familiarity with RF testing procedures and facilities, including anechoic chambers
Advantageous
* Experience with professional mobile radio (PMR) systems
* Regulatory/compliance knowledge in telecommunications
* Beamforming or MIMO experience
