How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: Regional Operations Manager - Midlands
    Location: Midlands Region
    Salary: Up to £60,000 + Car Allowance + Annual Bonus
    Contract: Full Time, Permanent

    SF Partners have partnered with an exciting leading business in the commercial vehicle parts and equipment supply and distribution sector, to recruit for an experienced Regional Operations Manager to join them in supporting the operational and commercial performance across the Midlands.

    We are looking for people that are passionate about people, service and growth and can motivate and drive success and expansion across the Midlands.

    Key Responsibilities
    - Provide full operational leadership across the Midlands region, with accountability for people, customer service, sales performance, warehousing, inventory, fleet, delivery capability, and branch standards.
    - Lead, coach, and develop Branch Managers and their teams, creating an engaged, accountable, and performance-led culture across the region.
    - Be visible within branches, understanding daily performance, resolving operational barriers, and ensuring customers receive a consistently high level of service.
    - Drive performance against sales, margin, contribution, service, and KPI objectives, identifying issues early and implementing practical improvement plans.
    - Work closely with internal and external sales teams to support regional growth, translating new opportunities into clear operational requirements and sustainable branch revenue.
    - Be customer facing in account management and driving business development opportunities at branch and regional level and in support of external sales teams for notified key accounts. Actively work with branch management, other regions and external sales in targeting and winning new business.
    - Lead the operational onboarding of new customers, ensuring service expectations, delivery requirements, demand forecasts, product ranges, and stockholding needs are clearly understood and implemented.
    - Take regional ownership of branch and imprest stock accuracy, reducing excess, obsolete and slow-moving stock according to company initiatives while addressing stock discrepancies and parts availability issues.
    - Use sales trends, customer demand, and branch insight to challenge stock profiles and replenishment settings, improving availability without unnecessary inventory investment.
    - Take ownership of regional P&L performance, operating costs, and overhead control, balancing commercial performance with service and resources required to support business growth.
    - Maintain high standards across warehouse operations, stock control, fleet, delivery performance, Health and Safety, HR processes, and wider legal and company compliance.
    - Work collaboratively with senior leadership and other business functions to deliver regional objectives, continuous improvement and the in support of company strategy.

    The successful individual will have:
    - Proven commercially minded multi-site operations leadership experience within commercial vehicle parts (ideally heavy goods), automotive aftermarket, or a comparable branch-based and sales environment.
    - Strong experience across people leadership, customer service, warehouse or distribution operations, inventory, and stock control.
    - A track record of improving commercial performance through strong operational execution, with good financial acumen and experience of P&L, budgets, and cost control.
    - Experience supporting growth and onboarding new customers, including delivery of sales pipelines aligned to budget targets, and providing solution according to service requirements.
    - A practical understanding of how stock availability, inventory accuracy, branch responsiveness and delivery performance affect customer retention and growth.
    - Confident using data and KPIs to challenge performance, identify issues and prioritise action.
    - Credible communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence Branch Managers, sales teams, supply chain colleagues, and senior stakeholders.
    - Working knowledge of Health and Safety, HR processes, and compliance within a multi-site operational environment.
