We are working with a global engineering company covering automotive, aerospace, renewable energy, consumer products, medical devices and more to find a Mechanical Engineer for their Milton Keynes office.

Our client is recruiting for an Engineer to join a global market-leading engineering and manufacturing business based in Milton Keynes.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an expanding international engineering organisation where you’ll receive ongoing training and development while gaining broad technical experience across product testing, development, design, technical support and customer applications.

The Role

Working as part of an experienced engineering team, you’ll support customers and colleagues across Europe, as well as working closely with technical teams internationally.

This is a varied engineering position combining practical technical work, investigation, problem-solving and documentation.

Your responsibilities will include supporting the testing and evaluation of products, supporting product development activities, responding to technical enquiries, investigating product issues and customer claims, preparing technical reports and documentation, supporting new product launches and carrying out technical and market research.

You’ll also identify, develop and deliver technical training and work closely with engineering colleagues across Europe and internationally.

There will also be some European travel as part of the role.

What We’re Looking For

You’ll need a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electromechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline, with a minimum 2:2.

This opportunity would suit either a graduate who has gained some practical engineering experience or an engineer who is already in their first role and is now looking for their next career move.

You’ll ideally have some practical engineering experience within a technical environment, experience using SolidWorks or another 3D CAD package and experience producing technical reports.

You’ll also need a willingness to develop your knowledge of basic electrical engineering principles, good practical problem-solving skills, excellent written and spoken English and the ability to work effectively as part of a multicultural engineering team.

You’ll need a valid, in-date passport and be willing to travel occasionally within Europe.

Desirable Experience

Any experience in the following areas would be beneficial, although it is not essential:

Control systems design and tuning, temperature control equipment, designing mechanical components or assemblies for industrial machinery, planning and managing your own projects, working with customers and suppliers, LabVIEW, technical training, European or Japanese language skills and a full UK driving licence.
