Plant Operator
Salary – £38,940 - £58,410 (plus benefits)
Hours – Rotating shift pattern, including days, nights, weekends and public holidays
Location – Worcestershire Energy from Waste Facility, DY10 4JD
As a Plant Operator at Severnwaste Services, EnviRecover, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our Energy from Waste (EfW) facility. Working as part of the operational team, you will help ensure the continuous operation of the plant, monitor performance, carry out inspections and tests, and support the delivery of safe, reliable, and efficient energy recovery operations. You will report directly to the Shift Team Leader.
This vacancy is for a full-time position working on a rotating shift pattern.

What will you be doing?
- Operating the Energy from Waste facility safely and efficiently.
- Monitoring and controlling plant operations from a computer-based central control room.
- Conducting routine plant inspections, tests, and operational checks.
- Monitoring CCTV and site security systems.
- Recording, analysing, and reporting operational data.
- Identifying plant issues and raising work requests when required.
- Supporting emergency response procedures and following operational instructions.
- Monitoring stock levels of consumables and residues to ensure operational continuity.
- Completing detailed shift handovers and maintaining accurate records.
- Working in line with company Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
What are we looking for?
- Experience working shifts within a continuous process industry.
- Experience within power generation, Energy from Waste, defence, or similar operational environments would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of Energy from Waste processes and safe working practices.
- Computer literacy and the ability to work with operational systems.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams.
- A calm and logical approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible, adaptable, and motivated approach to work.
