Aspire People are looking for a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a school in Leicester. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident education professional who can support classroom learning, lead activities and make a meaningful contribution to pupils' progress.
The successful candidate will be comfortable taking initiative, working alongside teaching staff and providing high-quality support across the school.
The Role
Support teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities
Lead whole-class, small-group and intervention sessions when required
Provide targeted support to pupils with different learning needs
Help maintain a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment
Assist with lesson preparation and the implementation of learning activities
Support behaviour management and encourage positive pupil engagement
Work with teachers to monitor pupil progress and identify areas for development
Step in to cover lessons or classes when required, in line with your experience and school expectations
Requirements
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or HLTA within a school setting
Experience supporting pupils across primary education
Confidence leading activities and working with groups of children
Strong classroom management and communication skills
A proactive, adaptable and supportive approach
Relevant HLTA qualification or equivalent experience would be beneficial
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
