Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging French lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with KS5 experience welcomed.
Develop students’ confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing French.
Promote an appreciation of the French language and culture through interactive, engaging learning experiences.
Plan purposeful, well-structured lessons that challenge and support all learners.
Monitor and assess student progress, using data to inform teaching and improve outcomes.
Create a positive classroom environment with high expectations for behaviour and engagement.
Contribute to curriculum development and the broader work of the Modern Foreign Languages department.
Support enrichment activities such as language clubs, cultural events, exchange programmes, and educational trips.
Person Specification
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Experience teaching French in a secondary school setting.
Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for language learning.
Ability to engage and motivate students of diverse abilities and backgrounds.
Confident classroom management and effective communication skills.
A reflective practitioner committed to continuous professional development.
