Academics are currently seeking an experienced A Level English Literature Tutor to provide weekly online tutoring support to a student studying A Level English Literature with the Edexcel exam board.
This is a flexible opportunity for an experienced English Teacher, A Level English Literature Tutor or subject specialist who is available to provide approximately one hour of online tutoring each week.
Sessions may take place before school or after school, with flexibility around the tutor's existing commitments.
The successful A Level English Literature Tutor will provide personalised academic support across the Edexcel A Level English Literature specification, helping the student develop confidence, analytical skills and examination technique.
Key responsibilities:A Level English Literature Tutor
Deliver approximately one hour of online A Level English Literature tuition each week.
Support the student across the Edexcel A Level English Literature specification.
Develop close analysis and interpretation of literary texts.
Support essay planning, structure and written expression.
Develop critical thinking and comparative analysis skills.
Support the student with examination technique and timed responses.
Identify areas for development and tailor sessions to individual needs.
Build confidence ahead of A Level English Literature examinations.The ideal A Level English Literature Tutor will have:
Experience teaching or tutoring A Level English Literature.
Strong knowledge of the Edexcel A Level English Literature specification.
Excellent knowledge of literary analysis and essay writing.
Strong understanding of A Level examination requirements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
