Senior Residential Support Worker

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Residential Support Worker to join a well-established company providing specialist residential care for children and young people with complex needs.
As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will be providing direct care and taking a senior role in the day-to-day running of the home, while supporting the development of the wider care team.
This full-time permanent role offers a salary of £30,000 plus £60 per sleep-in and benefits. No sponsorship provided.
We are also seeking a Residential Support Worker with salary of £26,000 plus £60 per sleep-in.
You will be responsible for
* Providing day-to-day care and support to children with learning disabilities, maintaining their safety, dignity and wellbeing
* Taking a lead role in the daily operation of the home and supporting management decisions
* Planning and engaging children in activities, play, cooking and community-based activities
* Supervising and supporting members of the care team
* Assisting with shift planning and team development
* Supporting children with their educational and health needs
* Completing household, health and safety and general maintenance tasks
* Maintaining individual risk assessments and ensuring they are followed
* Acting as a key worker for allocated children
The candidates from the following background will be considered:
* Senior Residential Support Worker, Residential Support Worker, Support Worker, Senior Residential Care Practitioner, Residential Care Practitioner, Residential Childcare Worker, Children’s Support Worker, Care worker, Keyworker, Care Assistant or in a similar role.
What we are looking for
* Prior experience supporting children and young people with learning disabilities
* NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare / Children and Young People qualification
* A genuine commitment to supporting and nurturing children and young people
* A full UK manual driving licence
