JM Selection are working with a specialist manufacturing company based in Abertillery who are looking for a Assembly Operative to join their team on a permanent basis.
The company manufactures specialist assemblies for a range of industries, with a strong focus on quality and precision.
This is a hands-on role working across the shop floor and clean room, supporting the production and testing of assemblies.
The Role
Your duties will include:

Preparing and handling materials ready for production
*
Cutting and facing materials to the required specifications
*
Assisting with the manufacture and assembly of products
*
Carrying out testing on finished products
*
Inspecting work to ensure it meets the required standard
*
General cleaning and housekeeping across the production areas
*
Following company procedures and health & safety requirements
*
Supporting the wider production team where required
About You
We're particularly interested in candidates with a manufacturing, production or engineering background, although relevant hands-on experience in other environments will also be considered.
You will need to be:

Comfortable working in a hands-on production environment

Practical and mechanically minded
*
Able to follow instructions and work to set procedures
*
Reliable and punctual
*
Comfortable working in both a shop floor and clean room environment
*
A good team player with a positive attitude
*
Willing to learn new processes and skills
