FPGA Engineer

If you like your FPGA work to actually mean something once it's deployed, rather than just ticking a spec sheet, this one's worth a look.
I'm recruiting on behalf of an engineering business based just south of Cambridge, easy reach of the city by road or rail. They work across a genuinely varied portfolio of projects and have built up a strong internal IP base off the back of it. Multidisciplinary is the operative word here hardware, software, systems and firmware engineers all sat around the same table, which tends to produce more interesting problems (and more interesting solutions) than the average single-discipline team pushes out.

The role
We're looking for an experienced FPGA engineer. You'll be developing IP and delivering projects end to end, from concept and architecture through to validation and ongoing support. A solid grounding in digital signal processing is a firm requirement here, not a nice-to-have, and if you've got RF systems experience too that's a genuine bonus.
Most day-to-day work targets AMD (Xilinx) silicon, often Zynq SoC devices, and you'll be working closely with hardware, software and systems engineers on technically demanding programmes. Comfort crossing into electronics or firmware is a real plus, though they're equally open to someone with a strong core FPGA/DSP skill set who wants to broaden out over time.
