Fixed Term Role for the Academic year 2026/27 With opportunities to extendHere at Academics, we are working with this fantastic Primary School in Wandsworth to appoint a part time After School Childcare Assistant. This After School Childcare Assistant / Teaching Assistant role would be perfect for someone who is looking for part time work in an outstanding school setting. The after-school club caters for children from Reception through to 11 years old and is in a brilliant location with excellent public transport links and school parking available.
This After School Childcare Assistant will see you working with their youngest children providing afterschool care. Your role will be to maintain a safe and stimulating play environment and work 121 and in small groups creating opportunities to encourage children's social, physical, intellectual, creative and emotional development through play. You will need plenty of energy and enthusiasm to ensure children have a brilliant time at afterschool club and get the best out of the wide range of extracurricular options this fantastic school has to offer.
The role is offered as a fixed term contract for the Academic years and can be extended depending on the successful After School Childcare Assistant's preferences. It is essential that you have a LEVEL 3 EARLY YEARS / CHILDCARE or LEVEL 3 TEACHING QUALIFICATION or QUALIFIED TEACHER STATUS to be considered for this role.
Salary will be determined by the successful candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, and will be in accordance with the client's pay policy
