Furniture Delivery Driver – Letchworth
Location: Letchworth
Job Type: Full-time
Hours: Between 5:00am and 6:00pm, depending on the delivery schedule
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Furniture Delivery Driver to join our team in Letchworth.
The role involves delivering furniture directly to customers’ homes, working alongside a Driver’s Mate. The driving is shared between the driver and mate throughout the day, helping to make the long delivery days more manageable.
The Role
Deliver furniture safely and efficiently to customers’ homes
Work as part of a two-person delivery team
Share the driving with your Driver’s Mate
Load and unload furniture
Carry furniture into customers’ homes and position it as required
Provide friendly and professional customer service
Complete delivery paperwork and follow company procedures
Carry out vehicle checks and ensure the vehicle is kept clean and tidy
About You
Full UK driving licence required
Previous delivery, driving or furniture experience is an advantage, but training can be provided for the right person
Physically fit and comfortable lifting and carrying heavy furniture
Reliable, punctual and hardworking
Polite and professional with customers
Comfortable working early starts and potentially long days
Able to work well as part of a two-person team
Please note: This is a physically demanding role involving regular lifting, carrying and moving of furniture, including navigating stairs and restricted spaces in customers’ homes.
