A well-established manufacturer is looking for a Production Manager to run the factory and help the business grow.
This is a practical leadership role. You will take ownership of how work moves through the site — planning the team, keeping quality and delivery on track, and finding better ways to build product without adding unnecessary cost or time.
The role
* Run day-to-day production and keep jobs moving
* Plan labour and materials so work can start on time
* Lead and brief the team each day
* Work closely with design, quality, purchasing and management
* Track output, quality and despatch performance
* Improve processes, layouts and lead times
* Maintain safety standards and accurate production records
What we’re looking for
* Solid mechanical manufacturing experience
* Previous production or workshop leadership
* Confident reading drawings and technical information
* Used to driving lean / continuous improvement
* Strong organiser who can lead a team
* Comfortable with ERP systems and Microsoft Office
* CAD experience would be an advantage
The package
* Up to around £60,000, more for the right person
