Are you a Service Engineer with experience in CHP, gas engines and controls looking for a new opportunity with a specialist power-generation business?
Our client is a well-established engineering company specialising in the service, maintenance, repair and overhaul of CHP and gas-engine systems across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Service Engineer to join their field-based team.
The Role
You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, fault-finding and repairing CHP and gas-engine systems at customer sites.
The role will involve:
Planned preventative maintenance and servicing of CHP/gas engines
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and control-system faults
PLC and control-system fault finding
Commissioning and testing equipment
Engine overhauls and component replacement
Responding to breakdowns and providing technical support
Working with customers to identify and resolve technical issues
Completing service reports and maintenance documentation
Travelling to customer sites across the UK
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for an experienced engineer with a background in CHP, gas engines, power generation or industrial equipment, ideally with strong controls experience.
You could be a good fit if you have experience with:
CHP / Combined Heat & Power systems
Gas engines - Jenbacher, MWM, MAN, Guascor, CAT, MTU, Perkins, 2G or similar
PLCs and control systems
Electrical fault finding
Commissioning and servicing
Engine rebuilds / overhauls
