Lathe Programmer

A Birmingham-based precision engineering company specialising in the manufacture of precision turned parts on a subcontract basis. Operating from a refurbished factory in the heart of the industrial Midlands, we run a large number of CNC turning and conventional bar turning machines to produce high-quality components for customers across the UK.

As a leading Midlands machinist, they offers extensive capabilities in both sliding head CNC turning and fixed head machining, delivering cost-effective precision-engineered parts to a wide range of industries nationwide.

The Role

Looking for an experienced CNC Turner Programmer to join our growing team. This role is ideally suited to a skilled engineering professional with a strong background in CNC turning within a manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC turning machines while ensuring components are manufactured to the highest quality standards.

Key Requirements

* Previous experience working as a CNC Turner Programmer within the engineering and manufacturing industry.

* Strong knowledge of CNC turning processes.

* Experience using Fanuc controls.

* Star/Lynx machinary familiarity

* Ability to programme using G-Code and M-Code.

* Good understanding of a range of engineering materials including:

* Carbon steel

* Stainless steel

* Plastics

* Other commonly used engineering materials

* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

* Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards.

Working Hours

Morning Shift

* Monday to Thursday: 7:00am - 4:00pm

* Friday: 7:00am - 12:00pm (Early Finish)
