How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Location: Warrington - Hybrid
Salary up to £45,000 plus bonus

I’m working with an established consumer-focused, product-led business in Warrington who are currently building out their marketing function, and they’re looking for a B2C & Retail Marketing Manager to take ownership of one of their key consumer brands.

This is a really exciting opportunity for someone who wants more than just another Marketing Manager role. You’ll have real autonomy, plenty of scope to bring new ideas and the opportunity to shape how B2C marketing develops within the business.

There are processes and agency relationships already in place, but they want someone who will come in, take ownership and look at how things can be done better.

    What will you be doing?

You’ll own the B2C marketing strategy, working closely with the commercial, product and retail teams to make sure marketing activity is both creative and commercially effective.

    Your role will include:

Owning the annual B2C marketing plan, budget and campaign calendar
Developing campaigns around new products, seasonal activity and retail promotions
Working closely with retail account teams and customers
Improving product listings, digital shelf content, imagery, reviews and conversion
Developing activity across social media, influencers, paid media, email and content
Managing external agencies across creative, PR, social, content and paid media
Briefing agencies and managing campaigns from initial idea through to delivery
Managing budgets, timelines and campaign performance
Working closely with Product, Commercial, Technical, Sales and Customer Services teams
Making sure all customer-facing content is accurate, relevant and commercially focused
A big part of the role will be managing relationships with key retail customers, so you’ll need to be comfortable working with large retail accounts and understanding the pace and demands that come with them.

    What are they looking for?

The key thing here is retail and consumer marketing experience.

You’ll ideally have worked within a B2C, retail, ecommerce or consumer-focused, product-led environment and be comfortable turning customer insight and commercial priorities into campaigns that deliver.

    You’ll ideally have experience across:

    Retail marketing
    Consumer/B2C marketing
    Ecommerce and digital content
    Product launches and campaigns
    Agency management and briefing
Social, content, paid media or influencer activity
    Working with retail customers
    Campaign performance and analytics
Experience within home improvement, consumer products, ecommerce, DIY, electrical, interiors or another retailer-led category would be a bonus, but isn't essential.

You’ll need to be creative and full of ideas, but also commercially minded and comfortable getting into the detail. This is a hands-on role, so they’re looking for someone who enjoys actually doing the work rather than simply managing a team who do it for them.

    The business

This is a particularly exciting time to join as they’re building out their marketing function and looking for people who want to help shape it.

You’ll have the freedom to look at what's currently in place, bring your own ideas and make improvements rather than simply stepping into a role where everything is already set in stone.

The culture is friendly and personable, with a real family feel, but you’ll also have the structure and backing of a larger international organisation.

    What's on offer?

    £35,000–£45,000 salary
Flexibility around salary for the right person
Monthly bonus of up to £300 based on company performance
Hybrid working – 3 days in the Warrington office / 2 from home
20 days' holiday, increasing with length of service
Office closure over Christmas, which doesn't come out of your holiday allowance
Lots of autonomy and the opportunity to make the role your own
If you’re a retail/B2C marketer who wants to bring new ideas, take ownership and genuinely help shape a growing marketing function, I’d love to hear from you.
