General Job Description / Key responsibilities

The Installation Manager reports directly in to the Senior Implementation Manager and is responsible for all site installation services working in partnership with the Sales Support Team and an Ecosystem of Installation Partners to maximise sales and protect margin and profitability ensuring that customer satisfaction and a safe working environment is delivered on every opportunity.
Through effective and proactive resource management the Installation Manager ensures that all customer construction activites (simple and complex installations) are planned and resourced to deliver their requirements both on cost and on time, this includes completion of assigned projects in compliance with customer expectations, company objectives, and all contractual documentation.

The installation Manager will conduct negotiations with installation partners and peruse
conditions of contracts of prospective projects to ensure they are suitable to the organizations method of operation.

Objectives / Key deliverables / KPI

Lead the business strategy for the installation service delivery
Lead strategy and common ways of working for customer service and on site installation
Monitor installation cost trends, put action plans in place to support profitability and sustainable growth
Management and growth of installation parnerships
Management of labour schedule to deliver all projects ’right first time’
Maximise profitability through affective management of onsite issues & snags
Compliance with local Audit and Health & Safety requirements

Key Competences / Skills
 Create and lead the business growth strategy for installation services
 Empower the team to a common way of working, implementing a best in class approach to installation
 Building a robust ecosystem of partners to enable us to deliver complete solutions required by our customers and to reduce our supplier numbers driving out complexity
 Management of the daily installation workflow highlighting and adressing concerns against budget margins
 Actively review free of charge orders being processed and raise with Senior Implementation Manager
 Monitor the performance of the installation partners producing meaningful management information reports
 Ensure installation output information is passed through to the required departments with a clear brief as to any defects or chargeable extras
 Maximise and maintain the most affective utilisation for both internal and external fitters / contractors
 Working closely with the Relationship Sales Team to provide status updates of all installation activity
 Manage the installation booking process working with all teams across the business to make this as easy as possible
 Working with commercial team to ensure that all sales orders are invoiced timely and to company standards

 Create proposition for development of additional installation services to expand our market position
 Promotion of ITAB in the UK being the best in class and industry leaders with regards to installation
 Lead the training requirements (ITAB Training Academy), skills matrix and tooling requirements for the fitting teams
 Promote ‘leading safely’ within the business, ensuring Health and Safety compliance is up to date and actively embraced
 Manage the install partners and internal labour resource to a common way of working
 Conduct daily review meetings are attended with updates on issues relating to scheduling, margin and forecasting
 Develop common working procedures with Implementation Coordinators and Service Supervisor, Purchasing and Production Teams
 Responsible for chasing on-site paperwork to support invoicing routines
 Management of all installation revisits and actions for continious improvement
 Act as escalation point to resolve installation issues during the working day and ensure a process is in place for out of hours escalation
 Monitor customer feedback, create plan and report back to the Senior Implementation Manager
 Promote ‘leading safely’ within the business, ensuring health and safety compliance is up to date

Qualifications Experience
Work experience: Administration and coordination experience in a high volume project based environment

Industry experience: Background in installation (construction) would be an advantage

Knowledge and experience of construction site Health and Safety would be an
advantage
Construction/Shop Fitting background an advantage

Budget/ Sales responsibility:
Formal education: Post-secondary education
Language: English in speech as well as written
Results: Delivery of all installion requirements to a high standard – this will promote growth
within the accounts and also with the services function. All installations should be
delivered to exceed the client expectations, compliant with Health & Safety and
within budget.

Business travels: Willingness to be flexible with working hours to respond to the needs of the business
