How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Head of Sales – New Build Housing Developer (North East)

    Location: Ashington, North East Salary: £70,000 basic + performance bonus Role Type: Full-time, senior leadership

    Role Overview

    The Head of Sales will lead the full sales function for a growing new‑build developer, overseeing strategy, team performance, customer experience, and revenue delivery across multiple developments. This role requires a hands-on, commercially sharp leader with deep experience in residential property and a track record of driving high-volume sales through effective team management.

    Key Responsibilities

    *

    Sales Strategy Leadership — Develop and execute sales strategies for new sites, off‑plan launches, and ongoing phases to meet and exceed revenue targets.

    *

    Team Management — Lead, coach, and develop sales managers and on‑site sales teams across multiple developments.

    *

    Performance Management — Set KPIs, monitor performance, and implement improvement plans where needed.

    *

    Customer Journey Oversight — Ensure a seamless customer experience from first enquiry to completion.

    *

    Stakeholder Collaboration — Work closely with construction, marketing, and senior leadership to align sales activity with build programmes.

    *

    Market Insight — Analyse local market trends, competitor activity, and pricing strategies.

    *

    Launch Management — Lead successful site launches, show home openings, and promotional events.

    *

    Compliance & Process — Ensure all sales processes meet legal, financial, and regulatory standards.

    Required Experience & Skills

    *

    Property Sales Leadership — Minimum 5 years managing sales teams within residential property (new build strongly preferred).

    *

    Multi-Site Management — Experience overseeing several developments simultaneously.

    *

    Strong Commercial Acumen — Ability to set pricing strategies, forecast sales, and drive revenue.

    *

    People Leadership — Proven ability to motivate, mentor, and retain high-performing teams.

    *

    Customer-Focused Mindset — Commitment to delivering an exceptional buying experience.

    *

    Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

    *

    Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across North East sites.
