Location: Letchworth Garden City
Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:00am - 4:30pm & Friday 8:00am - 1:30pm
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Contract: Permanent
 
We are recruiting for a Test Technician to join a growing engineering and manufacturing business based in Letchworth Garden City.

This is a great opportunity for someone with an interest or background in electronics who is looking to develop their technical skills within a hands-on production and engineering environment. You will work closely with both the Production and Engineering teams, supporting the testing and quality of a range of electronic products.

Full training will be provided, with opportunities to develop your skills, gain further qualifications and progress within the business.
 
Key Responsibilities:

Carry out PCB-level and complete system testing on a variety of electronic products.
Test power-related equipment including AC/DC and DC/DC products, UPS systems and battery management products.
Ensure testing is completed accurately and in line with required quality standards and work instructions.
Take responsibility for the calibration and upkeep of company test equipment.
Assist the Engineering team with design verification and product testing.
Identify and report any faults or issues found during the testing process.
Work closely with Production and Engineering colleagues to ensure products are completed on time and to the required standard.
Maintain a safe, organised and quality-focused working environment.  
Key Skills & Experience Desired:

Electronic assembly experience
Soldering & SMT experience
Cable and wiring assembly
Mechanical assembly
Electronic or electrical testing
Working within an engineering, production or manufacturing environment
Good computer skills
Ability to follow technical instructions and defined processes
Good attention to detail and a strong approach to quality
Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team
Keen to learn, develop and take on additional responsibilities
