Gold Education Recruitment is working with a range of welcoming and supportive secondary schools across Chelmsford and the surrounding areas, who are looking for confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to work on a daily supply basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Cover Supervisors, teaching assistants, graduates, sports coaches, tutors or individuals with experience working with young people who are looking for flexible work within secondary schools.
The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students remain focused, engaged and well behaved.
You will deliver pre-prepared lesson materials, manage classroom behaviour and provide support to students across a range of subjects. No lesson planning or marking will be required.
Daily supply is ideal for those who enjoy variety and would like the flexibility to choose when they work, while gaining experience across different secondary schools.
Who We Are Looking For
We are keen to hear from candidates who are confident, reliable and comfortable working with secondary-aged students.
Previous experience in a school environment is beneficial, but we also welcome applications from graduates, tutors, sports coaches, youth workers and anyone with strong experience working with young people.
You will need excellent communication skills, a positive approach and the confidence to manage a classroom effectively.
