Tradewind Recruitment is seeking Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in Hammersmith and Fulham on a daily supply basis.
This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy working with young people, are confident taking responsibility for a classroom and want the flexibility of choosing when they work. It can also provide valuable experience for those looking to develop their career within education.
About the Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will provide classroom supervision when a teacher is unavailable. You will ensure students follow the work provided and that lessons run smoothly in a safe and positive environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supervising classes across a variety of subjects
Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans and activities
Keeping students focused and engaged throughout the lesson
Maintaining high standards of behaviour and classroom expectations
Providing appropriate support to students with their learning
Taking accurate registers
Communicating any concerns or incidents to the relevant school staff
Promoting a calm, respectful and productive classroom environment
There is no requirement to plan or mark lessons. However, you should feel comfortable working independently and managing a classroom effectively.

Essential Requirements
The successful candidate will:
Have experience working with secondary-aged pupils or young people
Be confident managing a classroom independently
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Be able to follow lesson plans and school instructions accurately
Be dependable, punctual and professional
Be adaptable and comfortable working in different school environments
Demonstrate a genuine commitment to supporting students and their education
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Cover Supervisor, Behaviour Mentor, Youth Worker, Sports Coach or in a comparable role would be advantageous.
