Associate Quantity Surveyor

A specialist West London consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced Associate Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. The successful Associate Quantity Surveyor will work predominantly across high-quality residential projects, supporting private clients and development-led schemes throughout London.

The Associate Quantity Surveyor will take a senior role across commissions, leading projects from feasibility and cost planning through procurement, construction and final account. The Associate Quantity Surveyor will also work closely with clients, consultants and contractors, providing clear commercial direction and helping maintain strong project delivery.

This position would suit an Associate Quantity Surveyor who is already operating at senior level and is ready to take on wider responsibility. The Associate Quantity Surveyor will have the opportunity to lead key client relationships, oversee junior team members and contribute to the continued growth of the consultancy.

Associate Quantity Surveyor - Key Responsibilities:

Leading cost planning, feasibility and budgeting across residential projects

Managing procurement strategies, tender exercises and contractor appointments

Overseeing valuations, variations, change control and final accounts

Providing senior-level commercial and contractual advice

Leading client, consultant and contractor meetings

Managing project risk and financial reporting

Reviewing the work of junior Quantity Surveyors

Supporting client development and repeat business opportunities

Associate Quantity Surveyor - Candidate Requirements:

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline

MRICS qualified or equivalent professional experience

Strong UK consultancy / PQS background

Proven experience delivering residential projects

Excellent knowledge of JCT contracts and procurement routes

Strong commercial judgement and client-facing capability

Experience managing multiple commissions independently

Previous mentoring or team leadership experience

Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships

In Return:

£80,000 - £90,000 per annum

West London location
