How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Regional Sales Manager – Electronic Components

£50,000 basic + Monthly Commission and Annual bonus

South West England – home-based field role with travel across the South West

    Company Overview

A well-established business supplying technical products to manufacturers is looking for a Regional Sales Manager to develop its South West territory.

The role offers the chance to win new business, grow existing accounts and build lasting relationships with customers working on a wide range of projects.

This is a consultative field sales position suited to someone who enjoys understanding customer needs, working with technical teams and managing opportunities from first conversation through to delivery.

    Job Overview

This is a field-based technical sales role combining new business development with account management. Working with design engineers, buyers and product teams, the successful candidate will identify component requirements, secure specifications and manage opportunities from initial concept through to production. Success will come from building a strong project pipeline and converting it into sustainable territory growth.

    Key Responsibilities

Develop new business with OEMs and design teams across the Southwest.

Grow existing accounts through regular customer visits and a clear understanding of future projects.
Identify opportunities to specify electronic components into new product designs.
Work with design engineers, procurement teams and internal technical specialists to propose suitable solutions.
Manage projects through lengthy design, testing and production cycles.
Reactivate dormant accounts and develop relationships with high-potential prospects.
Maintain accurate sales forecasts, project records and market intelligence.
Deliver territory sales and profitability targets.
    Person Specification

At least three years’ experience in technical B2B sales with the confidence to learn technical products and sell consultatively.

An understanding of design-in, specification sales or long-cycle technical projects.
Confidence discussing customer applications with engineers as well as commercial requirements with buyers.
A track record of developing new business while growing existing accounts.
Strong communication, relationship-building and territory management skills.
Electronics or engineering industry experience would be useful but is not essential.
A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the territory.
    Benefits

    £45,000–£50,000 basic salary.
Monthly commission, guaranteed for the first six months,
    Annual bonus.
    Company car.
25 days’ holiday, increasing with service to 30 days.
Company pension contribution matched up to 10%.
Healthcare cash plan, private medical insurance after qualifying service, and additional wellbeing benefits.
