Children's Residential Support Worker l Flexible Shifts

Due to continued growth and our expansion into Maidstone and the surrounding areas, we are recruiting experienced, compassionate and reliable Children’s Residential Support Workers to join our flexible agency team.
As an Agency Children’s Residential Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to work within a variety of children’s residential settings, providing safe, consistent and person-centred support to children and young people.
We are looking for experienced workers who can quickly adapt to different environments while maintaining professional boundaries and providing the stability, encouragement and positive support that children and young people need.
About the Role
Your role will involve supporting children and young people with their day-to-day routines, independence, education, activities and emotional wellbeing while working in accordance with individual care plans, risk assessments and the policies and procedures of each service.
You may support children and young people with complex needs and behaviours that can be challenging. You will be expected to remain calm and professional, promote positive relationships and respond appropriately to individual needs and situations.
Safeguarding is central to this role. You will be responsible for recognising and reporting concerns, maintaining appropriate professional boundaries and completing clear, accurate and professional records.
Depending on the placement, shifts may include days, evenings, weekends, nights and sleep-ins.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for Children’s Residential Support Workers who are confident, resilient, compassionate and able to provide consistent support while promoting the safety, dignity, choices and wellbeing of children and young people.
Applicants must:
* Have recent UK experience working with children or young people within residential care or a relevant care/support setting
* Have a good understanding of safeguarding, professional boundaries, challenging behaviour, risk management and accurate record keeping
* Be willing to complete Onpoint Care’s induction and all required mandatory training
* Have an Enhanced DBS, satisfactory employment references and the Right to Work in the UK
A relevant qualification in Children and Young People, Residential Childcare or Health and Social Care is desirable.
