Overview of the Role
Senior Architectural Technologist job in Southwark, London, focused on detailed technical delivery across residential projects from RIBA Stage 4 onwards. You will produce and coordinate construction information, resolve technical interfaces, and support project teams through later design and construction stages using Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and current regulatory guidance.
Practice & Project Information
This established architectural and town planning practice works across residential, education, commercial, healthcare, hospitality, and mixed-use projects. The role will primarily involve residential schemes, with relevant mixed-use and commercial experience also considered. The practice supports technical learning through mentoring, structured CPD, professional accreditation assistance, technical reviews, and site visits.
Key Responsibilities
Take responsibility for detailed technical information through later RIBA work stages
Coordinate architectural packages with consultant information and resolve technical conflicts
Produce plans, sections, elevations, schedules, construction details, and working drawing packages
Review technical requirements and ensure information remains coordinated and suitable for construction
Liaise with consultants, clients, contractors, and internal project teams throughout technical project stages
Apply current regulations, warranty guidance, construction knowledge, and buildability principles to project information
Required Skills and Experience
Strong technical experience on medium or large-scale projects with demanding coordination requirements
Current Autodesk Revit knowledge with confident AutoCAD and Microsoft Office skills
Practical knowledge of Building Regulations, housing standards, and relevant NHBC or LABC warranty guidance
Experience coordinating information with external consultants and multidisciplinary design teams
Previous involvement with projects through RIBA Stages 4, 5, and 6
Advanced detailing knowledge and practical understanding of modern construction methods and buildability
