Senior Healthcare Assistant - Flexible Shifts

Due to continued growth and our expansion into Maidstone and the surrounding areas, we are recruiting experienced, compassionate and reliable Senior Healthcare Assistants to join our flexible agency team.
As an Agency Senior Healthcare Assistant, you will work across a variety of residential and nursing care settings, supporting the delivery of safe, effective and person-centred care. You will be expected to confidently take on senior responsibilities appropriate to each placement while working alongside permanent staff and other healthcare professionals.
About the Role
Your responsibilities may include providing and overseeing high-quality personal care, supporting individuals with mobility and daily living, monitoring wellbeing, maintaining accurate care records and ensuring care plans and risk assessments are followed.
You may also be required to support and guide other care staff, provide effective handovers and escalate any changes or concerns regarding an individual's health or wellbeing.
Where required by the placement, and only where appropriately trained, assessed as competent and authorised, you may be responsible for supporting with the administration and recording of medication.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for experienced Senior Healthcare Assistants who are confident taking responsibility within a care environment and who demonstrate excellent standards of professionalism, communication and person-centred care.
Applicants must:
* Have recent UK experience as a Senior Healthcare Assistant
* Be confident with care documentation, safeguarding, moving and handling, infection prevention and recognising and reporting concerns
* Be willing to complete Onpoint Care's induction, mandatory training and any required competency assessments
* Have an Enhanced DBS, satisfactory employment references and the Right to Work in the UK
Previous experience with medication administration is desirable where this forms part of the requirements of a placement.
