Senior FinOps Consultant

Contract | Remote | Outside IR35 | Up to £735 per day | Initial 3-Month Contract

We are seeking a Senior FinOps Consultant to join a high-performing team delivering cloud cost optimisation and FinOps transformation initiatives for a diverse range of customers. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role where you will work directly with stakeholders to identify savings opportunities, implement cost optimisation strategies, and establish sustainable FinOps practices across Azure, AWS, and GCP environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Collate, analyse, prioritise cloud cost optimisation recommendations and calculate potential savings and benefits using FinOps tools
Implement rate and usage optimisations within public cloud environments (Azure, AWS and GCP)
Create high-quality customer facing collateral explaining cloud cost optimisation and FinOps and present them to customers, both technical and non-technical
Design and implement FinOps maturity roadmaps for customers to accelerate their FinOps capabilities from scratch or optimise existing approach
Design and deliver training and enablement sessions to raise their understanding of cloud finance and economicsSkills / Experience

Hands on experience implementing FinOps to optimise cloud costs, with deep understanding of levers available to optimise cloud costs
Strong understanding of the FinOps Framework, capabilities, lifecycle and domains
Hands on experience with native and 3rd party public cloud cost management tools
Comfortable public speaking and presenting to a wide range of audiences
Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to develop and maintain strong internal and client relationships
Highly strong numerical and finance skills to investigate data and spot trends and anomaliesEssential Qualifications

FinOps Practitioner Certification and/or FinOps Professional Certification.Desirable Qualifications

AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.
Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals.
