About the Role
Location: Wigan, Leigh, and surrounding areas
Role Type: Day-to-day supply, short-term cover, and ad-hoc classroom support
Ages: EYFS, Key Stage 1 (KS1), and Key Stage 2 (KS2)
Hours: Flexible, full-time or part-time options available (Monday to Friday, school hours)
Pay Rate: Competitive daily rates, paid weekly
Key Responsibilities
Supporting class teachers with the day-to-day delivery of lessons and activities.
Assisting small groups of pupils or providing targeted 1-to-1 support.
Helping to maintain a safe, inclusive, and organised learning environment.
Encouraging positive pupil engagement, behaviour, and academic progress.
Adapting quickly to different school routines, policies, and classroom settings.
What We Are Looking For
Hold a minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or a recognised equivalent in childcare/education).
Previous experience supporting children within a primary school setting.
A flexible, adaptable, and reliable work ethic with a positive, proactive attitude.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
An enhanced DBS certificate on the update service (or willingness to apply for one through Tradewind).
CV must cover full employment history from leaving continuous education
