How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Our client, a leading Managed Services Provider is seeking a strong 2nd Line Engineer to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

    Due to an exciting period of growth our client is looking to add a 2nd Line Engineer to their team ,where you will join a knowledgeable and experienced team of Engineers, providing a high-level of technical support and project support to a range of clients.

    The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a 2nd Line role. You will preferably come from a Managed Services background, however those with the right experience from other industries will be considered.

    This role is office-based and will require candidates to have access to their own vehicle.

    Key Responsibilities:

    * Provide a highlevel of day-to-day support and project support to a range of clients, both remotely and on-site when required

    * Act as an escalation point for other Engineers

    * Ensure tickets and tasks are completed within correct SLAs

    * Provide suitable advice to clients, ensuring customer service levels are maintained at all times

    * Comfortable working in a fastpaced environment, managing multiple tickets and clients whilst ensuring accuracy is maintained at all times

    Key Experience:

    * Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a 2nd Line role, ideally from an MSP environment although other industries will be strongly considered

    * Excellent communicator, confident working with colleagues and clients of all levels

    * Windows Server

    * VOIP knowledge, preferably 3CX

    * Good networking capabilities – DNS / Routing / Switching

    * Office 365 Setup and Administration

    * Group Policy administration

    * VMware / HyperV

    * Exposure to Cisco / Draytek firewalls would be advantageous

    This is an excellent opportunity for a 2nd Line Engineer to join a leading MSP in their field.

    You will be working as part of an experienced and highly-knowledgeable team, providing the highest levels of technical support to a broad range of clients whilst gaining experience with the latest tools and technologies.
