Nationwide Recruitment Service is looking for a proactive and technically skilled Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer to join our client's IT team.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting, maintaining and enhancing our IT infrastructure, cloud platforms and end-user environment.
You will help ensure our systems remain secure, reliable and available whilst supporting our transition from traditional on-premises services to a cloud-first operating model.
Working across a varied technology estate, you will collaborate with colleagues and third-party suppliers to deliver high-quality IT services, support business-critical systems and contribute to infrastructure improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain, support and continually improve cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
* Monitor system performance, availability and security across the IT estate.
* Support Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud services.
* Assist with infrastructure projects, upgrades and cloud migrations.
* Manage and support servers, networks, storage and virtual environments.
* Investigate and resolve infrastructure-related incidents and problems.
* Implement security best practices and support vulnerability management activities.
* Maintain technical documentation, procedures and system records.
* Work with third-party suppliers and technology partners to deliver effective solutions.
* Contribute to business continuity, backup and disaster recovery processes.
* Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues across the organisation.
Skills & Experience
We are keen to hear from candidates who have experience in some of the following areas:
* Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 administration.
* Windows Server administration.
* Active Directory and Entra ID (Azure AD).
* Virtualisation technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
* Networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and firewalls.
* Endpoint management tools such as Intune.
* Backup, disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.
* Cyber security best practices and infrastructure security.
* PowerShell scripting would be advantageous.
Qualifications
The following would be beneficial, although we welcome applications from candidates with relevant practical experience:
* Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or equivalent.
* Microsoft 365 Fundamentals (MS-900) or equivalent.
* CompTIA Network+ or Security+.
* ITIL Foundation certification.
* Relevant degree, apprenticeship or professional IT qualification.
