Position: Senior Project Manager
The Role
A growing specialist contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Project Manager to take full responsibility for the delivery of a significant decarbonisation scheme in Norwich.
This is a genuine cradle-to-grave Project Management position, with the successful candidate taking ownership through the pre-construction phase before leading the project through procurement, construction, commissioning and final handover.
The Senior Project Manager will act as the key point of contact for the project, coordinating the client, design team, supply chain and internal delivery team to ensure the scheme is delivered safely, commercially and in line with programme.
Key Responsibilities
Take overall responsibility for the project from pre-construction through to final handover.
Lead the pre-construction phase, including design development, buildability reviews, programme development and procurement strategy.
Coordinate M&E design and ensure technical information is developed in line with the construction programme.
Develop and manage the overall project programme, identifying key milestones, risks and critical activities.
Manage subcontractor procurement, appointments and ongoing performance.
Lead the site delivery team and coordinate M&E and associated construction activities.
Maintain strong relationships with the client, consultants, subcontractors and other project stakeholders.
Work closely with the commercial team to manage project costs, variations, procurement and commercial performance.
Chair project, progress and subcontractor meetings.
Ensure works are delivered in accordance with health & safety, quality and environmental requirements.
Oversee testing, commissioning and project close-out.
Manage snagging, O&M information and handover documentation.
Maintain ownership of programme, quality, commercial performance and client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Experience Required
The successful candidate will be an experienced Project Manager or Senior Project Manager with a strong M&E/building services background and demonstrable experience taking projects from pre-construction through to delivery.
You should have:
Strong mechanical and/or electrical building services experience.
Previous responsibility for projects from initial pre-construction through to completion.
Experience managing design, procurement, programme and site delivery.
Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of project cost control.
Experience managing specialist subcontractors and supply-chain partners.
Strong client-facing and stakeholder-management skills.
A good understanding of commissioning and project handover.
The ability to take full ownership of a project rather than operating solely as a site-based delivery manager.
Previous experience delivering decarbonisation, energy-efficiency, renewable-energy or building-services upgrade projects would be highly advantageous.

£85000.00 - £95000.00 per year
