Position: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £33,059-£34,712 p.a.
Are you customer-focused, knowledgeable and dependable, with a passion for providing great service? We are looking for a Counter Sales Assistant to provide our customers with a friendly and efficient service while helping to optimise branch sales and profit.
This is a varied customer-facing role where you will build effective relationships with customers, understand their requirements, provide advice and solutions, and ensure the correct products are supplied. You will also work closely with colleagues, suppliers and other branches and departments to help the branch operate efficiently and effectively.
Working Hours
Monday to Thursday: 7.00am – 4.30pm
Friday: 7.00am – 4.00pm
Saturday: 7.00am – 10.00am

* Teamwork: A reliable team player who supports colleagues and the Branch/General Manager to help the branch operate efficiently and effectively.
* Organisation & Presentation: Able to maintain a clean, tidy and efficiently merchandised counter area, while keeping shop stock clean, clearly identifiable and in good order.
* Accuracy & Procedures: Able to follow Company policies and procedures when producing paperwork associated with sales and carrying out day-to-day duties.
* Health & Safety: Committed to maintaining a tidy working environment and working in line with Health & Safety guidelines.
The Role at a Glance
* Customer Service: Building effective relationships with customers.
* Sales Support: Identifying sales opportunities and offering advice and solutions to customers.
* Counter & Stock: Maintaining a clean and efficiently merchandised counter and stock.
* Sales Administration: Accurately producing paperwork associated with sales.
* Supplier & Branch Liaison: Liaising with suppliers and other branches/departments where necessary.
* Branch Support: Supporting the Branch/General Manager and colleagues and working as part of the team to ensure the branch operates efficiently and effectively.
* Stock Management: Highlighting low stocks to Branch Management where necessary and undertaking stock-taking as required.
* Health & Safety: Working within Company policy and procedures, including Health & Safety Guidelines.
