About the Role in Aylesbury
As a Student Support Worker, you will play an important role in helping pupils feel safe, supported and able to engage positively with their education.
You will build strong and trusting relationships with pupils, providing consistent day-to-day support and guidance. You will also work closely with teachers and other staff to help manage behavioural, emotional and social needs.
The role will involve using calm, patient and consistent approaches when responding to challenging behaviour, while encouraging pupils to develop positive behaviours, confidence and independence.
We're Looking For Someone Who:
Has previous experience supporting children or young people
Is patient, calm and resilient
Feels confident responding to and managing challenging behaviour
Can build positive and professional relationships with pupils
Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
Understands the importance of maintaining clear and consistent boundaries
Has experience within SEN, education, care, youth work or residential settings
