This role will be based at their site in Northampton and is a permanent role, working Sunday to Thursday nights, 10pm – 6am. The night shift will commence following the completion of a three month training period which will be on day shift, Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5pm.
Salary
The expected salary for this role will be between £26,000-£30,000 plus a 30% shift premium once night shifts commence.
The Role
Reporting to the QC Manager, your main responsibility will be to support production through performance of quality control tests.
Responsibilities:
Assist production with any queries relating to raw material or production batches.
Release raw materials and laboratory batches after testing to specification.
Accurately reading and entering all data onto QC system with due regard for specification.
Obtain specifications from suppliers for raw materials and enter onto database.
Liaise with Customer services in the event of delays to batches.
Essential Skills:
Previous laboratory experience is preferred, specifically in a quality role.
Accurate time management and record keeping.
Great communication skills.
Excellent sense of smell and eye for detail.
Flexibility to cover shifts at short notice may be required.
Ideally A level qualified in science.
