How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Job Title: Centre Manager – Study Programme & SEND

    Location: Ipswich

    Salary: £37,143

    Overview of the Role:

    The Centre Manager is responsible for the effective leadership and day-to-day management of the Study Programme, including SEND provision. The role will ensure high standards of teaching, learning, assessment, safeguarding and learner support, while meeting contractual, financial and quality requirements.

    The Centre Manager will lead and develop staff, monitor learner and centre performance, and work closely with the Head of Education and Senior Management Team to drive continuous improvement and positive learner outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Leadership & Staff Management

    * Lead, manage and develop Study Programme staff, ensuring performance and targets are achieved.

    * Promote high standards of teaching, learning and assessment.

    * Support recruitment, staff absence, performance management and disciplinary processes.

    * Identify and support staff CPD and professional development.

    Centre & Contract Management

    * Oversee the effective day-to-day operation of the centre, including administration, Health & Safety and safeguarding.

    * Support the Head of Education with funding contracts and compliance requirements.

    * Monitor KPIs including recruitment, attendance, retention, achievement, work experience and destinations.

    * Approve financial transactions in line with company procedures.

    * Support applications for Element 3 SEND funding.

    Quality & Curriculum

    * Maintain and develop an inclusive, high-quality curriculum that meets learner needs, including SEND.

    * Monitor teaching, learning, assessment and learner support through observations and quality assurance.

    * Contribute to the Self-Assessment Report (SAR) and Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).

    * Ensure training materials and delivery meet Ofsted, awarding body and organisational requirements.

    * Monitor improvement actions and address areas of underperformance.

    Data & Reporting

    * Analyse learner, staff and centre data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.

    * Produce accurate reports on attendance, retention, progress, achievement, destinations and financial KPIs.

    * Use data to drive improvement and ensure reporting requirements are met.

    Learner Support & Stakeholders

    * Ensure effective learner admissions and accurate completion of documentation.

    * Ensure learners receive appropriate Careers Information, Advice and Guidance (CIAG/IAG).

    * Promote positive learner destinations and equal access to opportunities.

    * Represent our client at meetings and networking events and contribute to SMT meetings.

    * Build effective relationships with partners, employers and other stakeholders.

    Qualifications & Experience

    * Relevant teaching, education or management qualification and/or relevant experience.

    * Minimum Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent.

    * Experience in education, training, leadership and/or SEND provision.

    * Good knowledge of SEND, safeguarding, Prevent, Health & Safety and equality requirements.

    * Strong communication, organisational, leadership and problem-solving skills.

    * Ability to analyse data and drive continuous improvement.

    * Ability to develop positive relationships with staff, learners and external stakeholders.

    * Enhanced DBS check required.
