Floor Layer – Social Housing Contract
Location: Islington, London
Pay: £22.14 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week

We are currently looking for an experienced Floor Layer to join our team, working on a long-term social housing contract in Islington.
This is a great opportunity for a skilled flooring professional looking for secure, consistent work with excellent rates of pay and a company vehicle provided.
The Role
As a Floor Layer, you will be responsible for carrying out flooring works within occupied and void social housing properties. You will be expected to complete work to a high standard while maintaining excellent customer service and adhering to health and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Installing a range of flooring materials, including vinyl, LVT and other floor coverings
Preparing floors and ensuring surfaces are suitable for installation
Carrying out repairs and replacements as required
Working within social housing properties, including occupied homes
Completing jobs efficiently and to a high standard
Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Liaising professionally with tenants and other members of the team
Completing relevant paperwork and job records
Requirements
Proven experience as a Floor Layer
Experience working in social housing, maintenance or a similar environment is desirable
Good knowledge of flooring installation and preparation
High standard of workmanship
Good communication and customer service skills
Full UK driving licence
Ability to work independently and manage a daily workload
