How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    As a Payroll & Benefits Administrator in Liverpool, you'll handle payroll and employee benefits, ensuring everything runs smoothly and accurately. This role is key to keeping things organised and supporting the Accounting & Finance team.

    Description

    Manage the Benefits Administration function, ensuring effective and accurate processing of employee benefit queries and requests.
    Take ownership of the Benefits shared mailbox, reviewing, organising and responding to employee queries in a timely manner.
    Triage incoming enquiries, identifying and prioritising urgent requests and escalating where appropriate.
    Maintain and improve mailbox management processes to ensure an efficient and consistent approach across the team.
    Set up and manage automated responses and mailbox rules to enhance the employee experience and streamline administration.
    Review, maintain and update Benefits Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring documentation remains accurate and fit for purpose.
    Support the Payroll team with administrative activities and payroll-related queries as required.
    Act as a key point of contact for employees and stakeholders, providing a high level of customer service.
    Identify opportunities to improve processes and recommend best practices for benefits and payroll administration.
    Produce and maintain reports relating to benefits and payroll activities.
    Use HR and payroll systems to support day-to-day administration
    Work independently from day one, quickly becoming an effective member of the team and delivering immediate support within the Benefits function.Profile

    A successful Payroll & Benefits Administrator should have:

    Experience in payroll processing and benefits administration.
    Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
    Knowledge of payroll systems and relevant regulations.
    Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally.
